SHRINKY DINKS QUICK TUTORIAL

(AND YES I FOUND SOME!!!!)
HI EVERYONE!
Thanks to Shell and Bethann for their generous offer to wing me some Shrinky Dinks, but I found some at SCRAPPERS WAREHOUSE, and I must give a big thank you to Pam who emailed me and told me she stocked it... I should have known :)
I just love this stuff! As you know I love my paper but maybe now after seeing Shrinky Dinks, getting the feel for it, I may just switch..Nah!! To much paper in my stash..
Anyway, on to my mini pic tutorial I put together in a flash!
Enjoy!!
This is the shrinky dinks I bought at Scrapper's....

The materials I used : Stazon ink as you really do need this to stamp your image on to the plastic as other's won't adhere to the surface. Also, my Sweet Pea stamp "Misty Reflections", and of course the stamped image..
For the stamped Sweet Pea image I used 2 colouring mediums, Derwent pencils and Copic sketch markers to colour the image...I found that pencils work better on the surface as they are more vibrant but I think I will have to experiment with copics to see how I can improve the colour.
Here is close up so you can  get a better look at the overall effect of the coloured image.
This is the finished product using - sorry forgot to mention a heat gun I used to shrink it,
I had to laugh when I called in Col, who wanted to watch the shrinking process and he was horrified as it twisted and turned but eventually shaped up nicely!

I also made a butterfly , using a Kaisercraft stamp and coloured it only with derwents.
If you plan to make these, as  charms,  always punch a hole in the image before your use your heat gun it because this plastic is almost like perspex when it's shrunk and cooled down.. Pretty neat huh!
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this really quick tutorial....Now on to something really fun!
