A GLO IN THE DARK CHRISTMAS

HI EVERYONE,
As you know I have been making some really different cards for Christmas lately and this one is just another example......
I call this a no frills card because there's not alot to it, apart from the cute owl, flowers and butterfly image all coloured with copic markers and some really nice rub on sentiments I bought at a craft show.
But there is something a little unique about this card and it's all to do with the moon in the background.....It glows
It was a little hard to take the picture  because the flash kept coming on..but trust me, the moon really does glo in the dark and the tiny stars come to life too...
I'm always looking for different ways of making cards especially when it comes to images....and challenges :)
SCRAP CREATIONS - blue and white
FUSSY AND FANCY - christmas with no red or green
SOUTHERN GIRLS CHALLENGE - favourite colour (blue ofcourse)
PEAR TREE DESIGNS - colourful
CRAFTY CREATIONS - christmas is coming
A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR - anything goes
INCY WINCY - blue and white
CREATIVE COTTAGE - untraditional christmas
ONE STITCH AT A TIME - season or event
FABNFUNKY - going with the flow
FRESH BREWED - winter/christmas theme
KABER CHRISTMAS - use a digi
I think I may have gone overboard but hey! It's Christmas and it all about sharing ;)

A CHRISTMAS PIXIE IN PINK AND BROWN

HI EVERYONE,
Here is another non traditional Christmas Card...and I used lots of pinks and browns. Although many people prefer the traditional Christmas color scheme of greens and reds,  some people like something a little different.
and it really is different...I used an pixie image I had in my picture file and coloured it with copics..For the background I used pink card stock and cre8tiv romance series patterned paper (picked it up at KMart ). Brown card stock was used for the backing of the image. I also stamped and distressed a sentiment and added stickles to the edges...not forgetting I stickled the flowers and snowflakes as well and used some distress inks..
It was an easy card to make and took no time at all.
Here are the challenge sites I am sending it too..
FABNFUNKY - forget me not
SIMPLE DOODLES - cute as a button
FRESH BREWED - show off your style
ABC CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - x is for xmas
KABER CHRISTMAS - use a digi
DIGI DOODLES - anything goes
SIMON SAYS - sparkle
TOTALLY PAPERCRAFTS - snow and snowflakes

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND AND I WILL BE BACK LATER WITH SOME MORE CARDS AND SOME INTERESTING BLOG CANDY INFO

A SWEET HOLOGRAPHIC CHRISTMAS

HI EVERYONE
Lately the cards I have been making for Christmas are not my usual style although I really like doing them this way..and I think it's because of the images I have been using..Sweet Pea images are really  special and you can transform these beautiful images into practically any type of card..
I used a holographic background and sponged it with Tim Holtz alcohol inks and then sprayed it with gold shimmer..and other  backgrounds are corrugated lime green and red metallic - I haven't used corrugated paper for ages and thought I would try them out...
The adhesive lace border is from Craft Kingdom, I bought that at a craft show and the sentiment is from a rag bag of chipboard sentiments I recently purchased.
And this lovely sweet pea image is one of four I recently won in a challenge at
In a SweetPea Dream. I used copics (of course) and added a few little pearls in the corner.
And now for some fun!!
MY PARTNER IN CRIME - marker madness
PAPERCUTZ - bling
MELIJENS - sparkle and shine
FROSTED DESIGNS - distressing
DOTTIES WORLD - lots of red
Thanks for taking the time to visit me and I hope to see you all again

BEAUTIFULLY MADE WOODEN INK HOLDERS BY COL CRAFT

My husband Col (A.K.A Super Crafts man),  has suddenly developed a thing for crafting (I guess all my crafting has finally paid off or should say rubbed off) and has come up with this beautifully crafted pine wooden ink rack holder.
This ink rack holds 12 distress inks and 36 ink pads (stazon, stampin up, versafine and other quality pads), and each of the small shelves are removable and have a scalloped edge for easy access to your inks.
And it has another great feature added to it....a top rack that will hold all your ink bottles and what ever else you want to put there.
It can been a free standing unit or...you can mount it to the wall..
IN 2011 THERE WILL MORE DESIGNS AND SOMETHING TO SUIT ALL CRAFTERS AND THEIR CRAFTING NEEDS.. SO WATCH THIS SPACE IN THE FUTURE...

BLUE, BLUE, MY WORLD IS BLUE....

HI EVERYONE
If you know me by now, you have to know my most (apart from purple and maybe a little red) favorite color is BLUE. From the deep blue sea, to the beautiful blue skies and to my husband enchanting blue eyes, it's no wonder.  It's such a powerful uplifting color and it always makes me feel good. And when I was making this sweet pea card of blue, I felt it didn't need a sentiment..the beautiful image really said it all.......
And also if you look closely you will see that the image is cracked and I must say I enjoyed doing that part (the cracking) as well. Here's closer look..

I wanted to try something a little different with the sweet pea stamps this time. I think it turned out ok. But I will let you decide :)
A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR - snowflakes
MY TIME TO CRAFT - rhapsody of roses
CCEE STAMPERS - store bought flowers
CUTE CARD THURSDAY - anything goes
LILY OF THE VALLEY - anything goes
CHARACTER CAFE - embossing
FLUTTERBY WEDNESDAY - window card (mine's round)
Have a great day and see you later on....

MAGNOLIA'S DREAM TEAM SKATING ON ICE

HI EVERYONE,
Well, you may have noticed I haven't been up to my usual blogging self, as I am still trying to get over this dreaded virus/flu that I've had for almost a week.... and it really is hard to shake off. But today I had to make the effort with this card of Tilda and Edwin on skates.
I wanted the card, sort of plain and simple, not to detract from the main image, and just used a few embellishments, two types of patterned paper, some added bling, distressed inks, stickles, my sentiment I created on elements 8 and a diamond star charm....I also added some faux stitching around the card and papers.
and I couldn't go without adding to some challenges (could I ;)
MAGNOLIA DOWN UNDER - make your embelli's (snowfakes)
JUST MAGNOLIA - donalda's sketch
CUTE CARD THURSDAY - anything goes
TOTALLY TILDA - blue and silver
A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR - snow or snowflakes
ABC CHALLENGE - h is for holidays

LITTLE RED WAGON - do it in 3's (3 roses, 3 snowflakes, 3 papers)

On that note, all good fairytales have an ending and this is where my tale ends.
